Just another day

Killed that Aerodynamics test I had today.  Teacher seemed to make it easier than I expected.  Still haven’t gotten the chance to even photograph anything.  Still looking into some new lighting equipment.  It is up between that and saving for a new camera.  Would really like the lighting equipment and a new lens before new camera.  I’ll figure it out one day.

On another note I’ve been listening to some brand new music.  The new Kid Cudi album is bangin’ as well as that leaked Kanye joint.  Plus I’ve been getting a lot of new music from reddit.com/r/listentothis.  Yann Tiersen’s stuff is blasting me away.  Some amazing music.

That’s my update for today.  Need to listen to the new UnderOath album as soon as I get the chance.

Oh and Conan is freaking hilarious.

Off to a bad start

So, as much as I want to be shooting some photos and playing the new Call Of Duty: Black Ops, I am stuck studying for an Aerodynamics test.  Well I use studying loosely because my roommate Blake is playing through the campaign on the tv that I’m sitting right next to and I’m updating my site.

As soon as I get some free time I’m going to be updating and uploading.  As for now I should really get back to studying.  Just another chapter to go.  Who said rocket science was hard… pfff.

Ideas

So since I rediscovered my own blog, I was thinking about not just saying I was going to do something and not do it.  So to challenge myself I’m going to try to do “The Daily Shoot” and post them on here.  Really this should help me keep up with both my photography and writing to no one in particular.

One a completely different note I’ve been doing loads of chocolates lately, the other hobby I have.  The last was a new thing for me being cake truffles.  They came out surprisingly well but are very sweet.  Basically you make a cake, let it cool for around 5 minutes, add an entire jar of frosting and mix together in a bowl.  Form that mixture into balls and chill them to firm them up.  Coat those suckers with some chocolate or some other mixture and you got yourself some tasty little balls.

Where do I start

Its been a long time since I’ve been to my own blog.  Life is moving along, but it seems to be going at a slow pace.  School is still sucking and the material seems to just be getting harder.  I’m slowing getting back into my photography.  Went through a lot of things in my life that just made me hate it.  Well now I say screw that.  I’m going to do what I enjoy regardless of what has happened in the past.  Sometimes its just time to move on from the past and not give a shit.

As I get older I realize that I need to have some passions in my life.  Photography was one of those passions and I feel lost without it.  I’ve managed to get back into it though as much as I can.  I’ve been trying new techniques out too.    What I really want is a new camera though (that Nikon D3100 is looking boss).

I recently came across some artist at a farmers market who inspired me to do a special print process.  It is a pretty common process using a medium or gel to transfer a copy of an image to a canvas.  The first one was horrible but I managed to turn it into something useful.  The second one was a great success.  Just wish it was with one of my own images.  Soon I should have some new ones.  It is a fun process but is so easy to screw up completely.  At least the supplies are cheap(ish). I’ve got a sneak peak of one of the finished ones.

 

Well that is all I got.  Aerospace engineering is taking up all my time as it is.  I think I’ll try to keep this up, or I might move to a new one.  We will see.
